Spiš Castle, Spiš Chapter, Levoča
Spiš Castle is a magnificent and monumental building, unique in Europe. Spiš Castle extends over an impressive 4 hectares above its surroundings and is one of the largest castle complexes in Europe. Together with the surrounding medieval monuments Spišská Kapitula, Spišské Podhradie and the Žehra Church, Spiš Castle is included in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. The castle complex houses the exhibitions of the Spiš Museum on the history of the castle, medieval weapons and feudal justice. Levoča is one of the most beautiful historical towns in Slovakia. It was a royal town as early as 1317. The town has preserved many monuments – the Church of St. James, the town hall, the Evangelical church, the medieval pillory and more than 60 burgher houses.
Kežmarok and Kežmarok Castle
Kežmarok can be called a unique Tatra pearl. It is the historical center of the traditional Spiš region. The town is home to the wooden Evangelical articular Church of the Holy Trinity, which is listed on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. The streets of Kežmarok hide many monuments - an Evangelical Lyceum with 150,000 volumes of books, the Church of the Holy Cross and many others. Kežmarok is home to Kežmarok Castle - the only completely preserved castle in Spiš. Stará Ľubovňa Castle, Open-air museum
The castle and open-air museum in Stará Ľubovňa are among the most attractive tourist attractions in Slovakia. It occupies a unique place among the castles in Slovakia. Ľubovňa Castle has a rich history and interesting architecture. The museum of folk architecture under the castle - Ľubovňa Open-Air Museum - offers visitors a glimpse into village life in the past. It is one of the youngest in Slovakia, having been opened to the public in 1985 and currently consists of 25 buildings.
Strážky Manor
It is one of the significant monuments of Spiš and, together with the late Gothic St. Anne's Church and the Gothic-Renaissance bell tower, forms a unified architectural and urban complex.
Red Monastery, Pieniny, Niedzica
In addition to the monastery complex, the Red Monastery also offers a unique attraction in Europe - rafting the Dunajec River on wooden rafts in the beautiful natural scenery of the Pieniny National Park. The 9 km long route leads from the Red Monastery to the village of Lesnica. The rafting takes 70-90 minutes. The Pieniny National Park (PIENAP) is the smallest in area, but at the same time one of the most beautiful parks in Slovakia, bordering Poland. The national park and its surroundings offer picturesque nature, rare historical monuments, attractive rafting on the border river Dunajec on typical wooden rafts or rafting, traditional highland dishes, opportunities for year-round tourism and leisure time. It is worth seeing: Tour the Carthusian monastery, raft down the Dunajec River on wooden rafts, ride in a highland carriage, climb the Three Crowns, visit Niedzica Castle, which is located only 10 km from the Red Monastery in the Polish village of Niedzica. The castle is located by the lake and is surrounded by beautiful nature.
